Accessing Resources

Many of the resources listed in this guide are freely available online - you can just bookmark them and return to them whenever you need. However, some of these resources have been purchased through the University, and are only accessible using your Newcastle University login.

Once you arrive on campus and are fully registered, you will be able to access various resources, including e-books available through the University Library. Search for books or other resources online using Newcastle Unviersity's Library Search, or LibSearch, pictured below. Links to resources in this guide that are not freely available are to the LibSearch page.

Before you search or access:

• Make sure to login on the top right where it says "My Account". You can login with your University ID and password. This will ensure you can access all available resources.

• The default scope for LibSearch is 'Everything except articles' - this will eliminate much of the primary literature. You're better off selecting 'Everything' and then narrowing the results later.
